I was on the radio! Dawn Breeze, the founder and programming director of Instar Lodge in Germantown, invited me to join a conversation hosted by WGXC 90.7-FM on sustainability in the Hudson Valley, holding space for underrepresented voices and new ideas, and the value of art making in the creative economy. I also talked about my work with wip projects, including upcoming Sunday community write-in sessions and the Art+Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thon at Instar Lodge.
Dawn and I talked along with outreach and digital communications director Rebecca Cosenza, Women’s Workplace manager Rachel Ephraim, and Rebecca Bray, who will be spearheading the new Community Action Club, an intergenerational stitch-in of reusable grocery bags. I learned so much from this thoughtful group, and felt empowered to use my voice as a tool for positive change.
