This five-hour workshop at Blueprint Projects in Waltham, Massachusetts, will help participants plan a formal creative project, including topics to consider when writing a proposal, developing an appropriate schedule, and choosing concepts that best represent their creative practice.
Participants will be asked to draft a project proposal and are encouraged to bring in any current proposals and documentation of their work for peer review. The second half of the workshop will utilize the foundational writing skills from the first part and apply them to grant funding, an artist-residency program, or an open call for work. Participants will learn the basics for putting together a solid application, the dos and don’ts when applying, and tips for documenting their work.
